Evening in Würzburg
After exploring the Marienberg fortress we walked back down to central Würzburg and went through the city center before stopping for dinner in the plaza behind the Frauenkirche.

Würzburg has a small light rail system through its city center. This street car is sponsored by Würzburger Hofbräu, the local brewery. The advertisement is actually a map of Würzburg with icons telling you where in town you can get a Hofbräu beer.
"100% Cuban" mini cigars in the window of a tobacco shop.
"Good Behavior" a picture book at the Hugendubel book store.

Inside Würzburg's cathedral
The cathedral, like most of Würzburg, was destroyed in the Second World War. While the city was rebuilt in the old style, the cathedral is a mix of old and new styles.
We got dinner at a cafe/restaurant in the Frauenkirche plaza. Sarah had a White Asparagus Spargel Salat which was a salad with salmon, potato cakes, tomatoes and, of course, white asparagus.
I had a Currywurst, a sausage drenched in ketchup and sprinkled with curry powder.
Radeberger Pilsner, since 1872.
Sarah with a glass of Franconian Bacchus at the street cafe.
After dinner we walked over to the Alte Brücke.
At night the fortress was lit up and the street lights along the river looked really cool
This was the last picture from our first day in Würzburg.
